In a news conference held earlier this year, the most preeminent archaeologists from around the world jointly announced that everything we’ve known about the Jurassic period is wrong. Furthermore, the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event is not at all what we thought it was.
Many dinosaurs did become extinct on earth. But unfolding archeological evidence now suggests that dinosaurs were in-fact only the pets of a whole separate species of dominant super-dinosaurs, much like how some exotic animals are to humans today.
Long story short, a ravenous space-flea invasion decimated the pet dinos and made life unbearable for the supersaurs. They were ultimately forced to abandon the planet in their spaceships.
The space-fleas eventually took over the earth and after millions of years, evolved into what we now know as homo sapiens.
